Welcome to Hearth History – living history for schools and museums
Based in Aberdeenshire, Hearth History would like to bring history to life within your school.
Between them, Karen and Pauline have over 20 years of experience working with children and adults to demonstrate life as it would have been in Scotland during the stone age, iron age, and during the Roman and Viking occupations.
We aim to support your history projects by bringing exciting and fun crafts and activities into your classroom or other venue which will fire the enthusiasm of both childrenand adults as well as supporting the Curriculum For Excellence. Visits can be tailored to cover almost every facet of ancient life. See the individual pages, “Early Man,” “Iron Age,” “Celts Vs Romans and “Vikings” for examples of ages covered. However if you wish to focus on a specific aspect of ancient life, please have a look at the pages listed under “Specialised Themes” or simply – contact us and we can discuss your requirements.
